Participation in Lent involves PRAYER - FAST - and MERCY ..... Prayer and Fast may be unfulfilled without MERCY.... true mercy is true forgiveness and usually does not come without some measure of pain, because it is difficult. Think of one who stands out when you think of someone who has hurt you and pray that God give you the strength to show mercy by forgiving them.
Your volunteer time can be a great blessing to give during Lent. The demands are great. Glance at the newsletter from Christian Ministry of Lincoln County (CMLC) (click at above right). Where and how can you help? You will be blessed!
Are you able to get to Mass? Could you help someone else get to Mass? Not everyone is blessed with transportation! If you are willing to give someone a lift when you come to Mass, give Randy Marcum a call at 704.732.3000.
On FRIDAYS during Lent......abstain from meat while joining us!
Lenten Soup/Sandwich Meal will be served from 5:30 pm until beginning of The Stations of The Cross at 7 pm. Cost of the meal is $5 for adults (or $3 for a fish sandwich alone), and $3 for children under 12. The meals are sponsored by your Knights of Columbus.

LATIN is the UNIVERSAL language of the Catholic Church. As we prepare for expanded use of LATIN prayer during our celebration of the Holy Mass, some of us thought a bit (or quite a bit) of refreshing might be in order! This link should help!...
